But it just seems dishonest to just fave someone's stuff just because they're you're "friend" or whatnot.

I'd rather people faved my stuff because they genuinely liked it or it deserved it.

hear hear! no offence to my friends, i'm very honest with them. but you see it a lot, when you visit profiles and whatnot. you should also do the -i will not +fave your work just because youre popular.

I agree.
I think this a is a great idea.
I wouldn't want my friends to fave my work purely because they're my friends. It isn't right.
You fave something if you genuinely like it, and want to look at it again in the future.
Or if your too lazy to comment xD
