Because I'm damn willing to change my opinions if others are willing to come up with ones more intelligent or enlightening than my own instead of keeping my head stuck firm in my ass.

I totally agree. I was hated by a guy just because I loved dragons. Funny eh?

I am so sick of close-minded shitheads, you have NO idea -_-
Even if I don't agree with someone's view, I'm still willing to hear and try to understand their argument.

Thank you for being awesome.

Narrow-mindedness is something that gets on my tit more than anything else; for example, if a person tries to do their best to claim something to be impossible, and they then try to use Science without realising that human understanding is fallible and that things work on factors of probability rather than simply that which is possible and that which isn't.

It reminds me of continental drift (I love this example) where the idea was considered utterly impossible until they discovered -- many years later -- that it actually wasn't impossible at all, instead it was quite possible and it had been happening for a while, and many people tried to ignore the findings of this up until the early 70's, keeping their heads in their arses. Which was amazing to me.

And there are people like that out there. If something doesn't fit into their exceedingly narrow and small World view, then it doesn't exist and it would take a great deal of overwhelming evidence to change their minds because they're then afraid of looking stupid due to being ... well, wrong.

It's a big World, and an even bigger Universe, there's a lot to be open minded about.

That last part should be a quote. :icongrin--plz:
