They fucking are.

Say for example, the whole 98% of DA is a yaoi fan, if you're one of the 2% that isn't....

I seriously fucking doubt that the percentage of non-yaoi lovers is a mere 2%.

Or else I wouldn't be seeing so many goddamn people with that sig.

But again, this is just an example.

And besides, just seems to me that those sigs are another way of saying, "Oh look at me, I'm part of a minority! Only 2%! I don't follow the other 98% and therefore that makes me a unique and special non-conforming person!"

Not if hundreds of other folks have that signature it doesn't.

I may probably get flamed for this.

But seriously. Who the hell makes these percents up?!

Edit: Redid it so the format looks a bit neater.

ARGH AMEN.
I've seen a few that are more along the line of "50%" things, so I guess at least they're not claiming to be some oppressed minority. >>;

Dammit, if 98% if deviantART are yaoi fans, if I transposed those statistics to real life, why the fuck do I keep running into people who'd drive a rail spike through my head if they knew I was queer? D:

I once had for a signature...
"The majority of people have '98% blah blach copy and paste this into your signature if' signatures. If you do the same to this one, you're a fucking hypocrite. Cut it out."

Why do we kill people who kill people to show people that killing people is wrong?
:iconin-the-machine:
Such a shame :(

I kinda like your old signature~

98% of 98% signatures are bullshit.

There isn't enough pot to go to 92% of the teenage population.

Oooh, like the '98% of people in the US have tried smoking weed or some such nonsense'

Um...I'm pretty sure that more than 2% are FUCKING CHILDREN.

-cough- Sorry, but it needed to be said. Just like all your stamps ^.^

Have you been told lately that you kick ass? Cause you do.

I'm like the energizer bunny, except I run on caffeine and will power.

When you ask yourself on a daily basis, "Is it wrong that I'm amused by this?" then it's probably better not to ask.

There are words in my signature. I AM SO WITTY!
:iconin-the-machine:
They childrens be smokin' weed?!

How can this be?!

Thanks dude. I try :iconimhappyplz:

... what about the one where 98% of DA accept Jesus Christ as their lord and savior? I doubt that 98% of users here are in fact all Christian.
