worse with me: I wait more than half an hour uploading a photo (because of it's weight) and another half an hour writing the artist comments and the tag words; and, when I click on submit, that beautiful phrase pops up.
upload and write again.

lol, yep that happened to me just this morning. There could be different kinds of maintenance I guess. Since I don't know how it all works, I can't say not doing anything.

Well, as of right now at least, dA is switching over to V6 :paranoid: And they're doing it little by little... So that may be what's the deal with the random "System Maintenance" ... But any other day, I have no idea :O
