Do it for your mother. Whut? Why? Because I'm sick of how whenever I talk to someone about a certain Japanese fandom it's all "Huh. I don't remember that part. :B I've seen every episode of blahblahblah but that never happened. What are you talking about?" :B That's because you didn't read the manga. The manga usually will have certain things the anime doesn't or have content that the anime edited out (yes. even in JAPAN they tone things down for TV although not as much as other countries...) I mean, if you seriously wanna get into a series you should at least give the manga a shot. You may even end up liking it better.
